Over a million people served by Khalifa Charity Foundation
The Khalifa Charity Foundation distributed food among 1.2mn people in the country during the month of Ramadan.
The Foundation focussed on people with limited resources in various emirates and distributed food for Iftar among them through a well organised network.
The project is mainly financed by a kind gesture from President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and keen support from HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is closely following up the charity drive at the national level.
Executive Director of the Foundation Mohammed Haji Al Khouri said that the Foundation set up 88 Iftar centres across various emirates and is distributing over 40,000 meals every single day through these centres.
