Abu Dhabi court to continue hearing on Qabalan case
Abu Dhabi - The Abu Dhabi Court of First Instances will resume tomorrow hearing in the case against A. A. Qabalan who is charged of luring residents to invest in a false company.
The Judiciary Department has called on the victims to file cases against Qabalan not later than September 11.
In a new development, the number of defendants in the case has risen to 91 after adding 16 who reportedly dealt with Qabalan as brokers. The victims are estimated to be over 8,000.
Qabalan and his four aides allegedly amassed over AED 260 million from the depositors on the promise of huge returns on their investments.
